Cozy Knit Sweater & Denim Skirt

One of the best things about fall is the weather tends to be a little all over the place. Some days may be chilly while others are warmer than average. I do love that the mornings are almost always chilly and then lead into a warmer day of 60 degree weather, over here on the east coast.

This denim skirt is one of my favorite purchases this past year. I bought it back in the spring and have gotten so much use out of it. I love to pair a skirt with a sweater and in this look I layered a sweater a top of a light weight turtle neck.As the day went on I was able to take off the sweater and just rock the denim skirt and turtle neck.

Off The Shoulder Sweater

I am a huge fan of the off the shoulder trend and i'm so excited to see it carry into the fall with off the shoulder sweaters. It's the perfect top for a cool fall day when the sun is shinning and it's not cold enough to layer with a jacket. I paired this sweater with distressed hem legging denim, peep toe booties and a suede cross body bag.  Pair an off the shoulder sweater with a printed midi skirt and some heels for a night out on the town!

Cable belled sleeve sweater

Today I’m talking about one of my favorite trends of the season, the belled sleeve. This J. Crew light weight cable sweater has the perfect delicate sleeve detail. It's easy for many to lose interest in fashion as the weather gets colder. I’ve heard time and time again, "a sweater is a sweater I have a few to get me by". Sweaters like this one are exactly what excites me about fall fashion. Sure a sweater is a sweater but a cable knit sweater with belled sleeves is fall fashion perfect and a must have in my wardrobe.  This piece is such an eye catcher and it's so versatile. I chose this light cream color, I can throw it a top a plaid flannel or under a or suede blazer when the weather cools down more, it's a great layering piece.

for the love of layering

Oh how I love to layer! With cooler weather upon us, I can finally start adding more layers to my looks. I picked up with light weight turtle neck from J. Crew in several colors for the season. This is by far my favorite piece of clothing right now, being that it’s so light weight makes it a perfect base piece. You can wear it on it’s own with a pair of high waisted denim and booties, or on a chillier day layer it with crew neck sweater or utility coat (as pictured above ) to bring more depth to your look.

I’ve been on the look out for a new utility jacket, you can get one just about anywhere this time of year. I was searching and searching and nothing was catching my eye, until I spotted this one from J. Crew. The thing that did it for me was the color, the deep hunter green was unlike any of the other jackets i’ve seen. I also loved that it has the option to hide the hood giving it a sleeker look when it’s put away.

J. Crew plaid button down

Fall is in full effect, finally! I absolutely love the cool weather, the pretty colors of the season and most importantly fall fashion. Plaid flannel button downs are a staple in my closet, I love pairing them with denim and boots as pictures above for fall day look. The great thing about plaid button downs is they can be dressed up with a skirt and some heels and will always give you color to your look.

I just added this red striped plaid button down from J. Crew into my closet. I love the red and since I don't have much red in my closet I thought it would be a perfect addition. I can't wait to style it so many different ways, especially with my J. Crew leopard flats since I'm all about mixing patterns this season!

10/8/16 white lace top

I love this look, I recently teamed up with who sent me this gorgeous lace blouse. It's the perfect piece to dress up or down. I loved pairing this lace blouse with this suede moto jacket, it gave this look a very lush feel.
