DENIM ON DENIM

I love denim on denim! I paired my favorite gap jeans with this cute Wendy Bellissimo denim top which I got from Motherhood Maternity. I decided to dress this denim outfit up a bit and I added this jeweled necklace from The Loft and this super cute barrette from Six Accessories. This hat is another one of my favorite buys of the season. This color barrette and style is the type of accessory that really can transform a plain outfit into something special. I added my yellow handbag from Target that I recently purchased for another pop of color. These thick heeled pumps are from Nine West which I bought a few months back. They are navy blue with a brown heel and gold buckles, I believe they really tie this outfit together, giving it a preppy feel.

Houndstooth

Hello everyone. Todays post features houndstooth print which I absolutely love. I think it's a print that has a very regal look to it. To me, adding a piece of houndstooth print can really dress up your outfit and bring it to life. I found this top at Motherhood Maternity and I think it is very flattering! I love the little string belt for accentuating my baby bump. I also really like the neck line on this top. Next, I picked up this Belted maternity coat from motherhood maternity which is perfect for the fall and winter season. The inside of the coat is lined with houndstooth print giving this black peacoat a little bit of flare. The black hat pictured above is one of my favorite buys of the season, I purchased it at Six Accessories and I can't get enough of it! I had to add a pop of color to this black and white outfit so I added this yellow bag which I bought at target. I through on a pair of denim maternity jeans from Gap they have the elastic inserts and are super comfortable. My shoes are black Charles Fisher pumps.  I hope you enjoy!

I also wanted to thank my friend Constantin Poselski for taking this amazing photos! He is very talented and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.  If you live in NYC or the surrounding area  and need some work done, check him out. I promise you won't be disappointed!

APPLE CIDER MOMMY MOCKTAIL

All I can say is YUM!! I absolutely LOVE fall, especially fall foods and drinks. Pumpkin everything and apple everything!  I really wanted to make a fall inspired mocktail. It's a cranberry orange & ginger apple cider and its DELICIOUS! This drink is so easy to make.

What you will need:
1- Orange
1- bag of fresh cranberries
1- Apple (whatever you perfer) I used honey crisp
1- can of goslings ginger beer
1- bottle of apple cider
cinnamon to garnish.

You need to preheat your oven to broil. thinly slice your apples and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with some cinnamon. Place in oven and let them get nice and crispy (like a chip).

While the apples are in the oven. muddle 2 orange slices and fresh cranberries with a little bit of sugar. Next add the apple cider and topped it off with a little bit of the ginger beer, sprinkle some cinnamon and shake!!

Top the drink with your apple crisp for garnish - ENJOY!

FALL STRIPES

Hello! Very excited to share this post with you all. I took a trip to Motherhood Maternity the other day and bought some new pieces, one being this very cute dress! The dress is from the Jessica Simpson Maternity Collection and I absolutely LOVE it! The colors are perfect for fall and the style of dress is perfect for showing off my baby bump. This is a perfect dress for dressing down, as shown  above, with a pair of brown leather booties and a denim jacket and of course a cute hat. You can also dress it up throwing on a pair of heels and a statement necklace.

Enhancing my pregnancy glow

So I've been feeling under the weather the last few days. I woke up monday morning not feeling well and have been stuck in bed that last couple days with a sore throat, dry nose & a bad head ache. Finally feeling better today which is nice, except its gloomy and very rainy out, which doesn't help with my level of energy. I decided to do todays post on pregnancy glow since I feel like I've had zero the last few days!

During pregnancy your body goes through so many changes! I always say I feel lucky like my boy is treating me well! But I did and continue to experience some changes to my face and body. Oily skin was a big change which caused acne and blemishes, all normal during pregnancy. Because of the extra hormones, it causes your oil glands to produce more oil which leads to breakout. I had to completely change my daily routine to help prevent break outs.  I have found some great products which I absolutely love and that have really helped me control my break outs and achieve a pregnancy glow when that natural pregnancy glow wasn't there. I added links to all the products and where you can purchase them.  I hope this helps some of you moms struggling with the same problem.

1. Burts Bee's: Intense hydration night cream - Every night I apply this hydrating night cream, which leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth every morning. It absorbs quickly and it is a non greasy formula.

2. Murad: Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 | PA++ - Okay, this is seriously one of my favorite products!! I have dealt with oily skin for quite some time now but when I got pregnant it got worse. I discovered this product on one of my shopping trips. I absolutely LOVE it!! I do my daily morning routine and then apply Murad as my moisturizer.  It controls oil for up to eight hours, reduces shine and gives you a matte finish.  Plus it has SPF so it protects from sun damage! It is a great product to use during pregnancy, it is Paraben-free; sulfate-free; phtalate-free.

3. Lush: Tea tree water - This is another great product! Before I apply my murad moisturizer, I apply this tea tree water toner. This toner helps brighen up oily, dull and spotty skin. All natural ingredients; tea tree, juniperberry and grapefruit waters, which help balance skin tone. This product reduces redness and clears your face of oils without drying.

4. Make up forever: Mat Velvet -  I love this foundation, which is shine controlling, oil free, water- resistant and complete coverage. It gives a nice mate and powdered finish - helps to hide any imperfections.

5. MAC: cream color base (luna) - This is a new product I just purchased -  which I love to enhance my pregnancy glow! After applying my foundation, bronzer & blush, I add the MAC cream color base to the top of my cheek bones as a high lighter to give my face a bight finish and glow.

6. MAC: 'Mineralize' skinfinish (soft & gentle) - Also a new product I just purchased. After I apply the cream color base to the top of my cheek bones finish it off with this skinfinish adds some extra highlights to your cheeks and then I dust some under my brows.

7. MAC: Eyelashes - The one thing I was not blessed with was eyelashes! Lucky for me MAC makes great eyelashes! I've tried every product on the market to help my eyelashes grow, I even got eyelash extensions for a period of time which just damaged my eyelashes even more. Then I would just curl my eyelashes daily and apply massive amounts of mascara which didn't do anything. So I find it easiest for me to just apply eyelashes daily. I like MAC eyelashes the best. If you take good care of them they can last you up to two weeks! The ones above aren't the exact ones that I use be closest as I couldn't find the one I use on the site- I use Lash B74 for every day use. Which give them a natural look.

8. Bobbi Brown: lip balm - Last on my list is this Bobbi Brown Lip balm. the last thing I need to enhance my pregnancy look. This balm is made with wheat germ and olive oil. It is non- greasy and moisturizes my lips which is perfect now during the change of weather and helps my lips from chapping.

NEWPORT, RI

This weekend Chris took me away to Newport, Rhode Island, for a quick get away. I am currently 25 weeks & 4 days pregnant. It’s been a rough couple of days as I haven’t been feeling all the great. I’ve been dealing with a lot of stomach issues and just feeling tired and under the weather. It was nice getting away to Newport! We got to relax for a few days which was really nice. The town of Newport is beautiful and we got to eat some great seafood while we were there. It was a nice quick get away and we really enjoyed ourselves. Here are some pictures from our trip.
