KEEPING IT CASUAL.

Distressed denim and a knit tee has to be my go to everyday look! If you don't know I have a two year old so most of my day is spent chasing him around or hitting the parks, so I love to keep it casual on a day to day basis. The best part about keeping it casual is that you can add some fun elements to a simple look to make it stand out. I can't get enough of these knotted low heel sandals I knew when I had purchased them that they would be the pair of shoes I would wear a lot this season.  This shoe is so versatile it works with a casual look or you can throw them on with a pretty maxi for a sunday brunch. And as for these sunnies, I just can't get enough of them, best $55 I've ever spent!

RUFFLES & COLD SHOULDERS

Hello & happy hump day, we got buried in 2 and half feet of snow yesterday. I am seriously so over this weather, I need the spring! I've been updating my closet for spring and I'm ready to start wearing it all now! That's the one thing I hate about New York, the cold weather can sort of linger on. I love the season changes and I don't mind the cold, but enough is enough. I think we've got some more snow on our radar for the coming week.. sigh. I guess I'll just keep waiting and hoping spring arrives soon.

This was one of the tops I added into my wardrobe for spring, ruffles and cold shoulders, could it be any more perfect? I've been all about both of these trends lately and when I saw this amazing top, I knew I had to have it. Oh and it's blush ... obviously had to be mine.

The best part is that it's priced under $40! YUP, it's a steal! All of the items in this look are recent purchases and are each under $40. These booties have been on major repeat but they are the perfect heel for just about any look. They come in this grey color and also black.

BEAUTIES WHO BRUNCH: THE GANDER

This past weekend, myself and Karen of Ever B. Styled hosted a blogger brunch in New York City. We got together our favorite New York/ New Jersey bloggers and we all met over Brunch at New York City's The Gander. I mean what better way to mingle and get to know each other than over mimosas and delicious food!

The Gander in NYC is the perfect spot to brunch, lunch or meet over drinks. Located in one of my favorite areas in Manhattan, just south of Flat Iron.  There's tons of fun cocktails to chose and the food is exquisite! Have you ever watched Iron Chef!?  Well, Jesse Schenker who had won the Iron Chef, is the chef at The Gander! So really, the entire menu is out of this world.

The floral arrangements were done by Unique Flowers NJ and they were absolutely breathtaking. The florist did such a wonderful job at bringing out vision to life and really tying together the brunch. The centerpieces were  filled with some of my absolute favorite flowers, anemone's and garden roses! I really couldn't stop staring at them the entire brunch! Also, every girl got to take home a gorgeous little succulent of their own. The gorgeous little place settings were designed by Charlie Whiskey Design, they were one of my favorite details, the textured paper and bronze calligraphy was so dreamy.

We really all had such a wonderful brunch sipping our cocktails, stuffing our faces and laughing until we cried at moments. It's so nice to connect with local bloggers and I am so happy I made eight new girlfriends!

I wanted to thank everyone that was a part of making this brunch happen. A special thank you to Angelene the photographer for photographing the entire brunch and providing us with gorgeous photos! Thank you to The Gander for hosting us. Also  thank you to Unique Flowers NJ in Hoboken, NJ for the Florals. Thank you to Charlie Whiskey Design for the place settings. Thank you to Maybelline, LondontownUSA & Olive And Piper for all the blogger goodie bags.
