The Power Of Hair Products : Voluminous Hair

I posted this picture to my Instagram last night really just talking about my glasses and wanted to see if you guys were into the "grandpa" glasses trend. I didn't expect to get so many comments, complimenting my hair and DMs asking what products and techniques I use to achieve that style. I thought I would get on here this morning and give you guys the inside scoop on my hair.

So, funny thing is that for the last 2.5 months, I've been dealing with my hair shedding. You guys, this seriously caused me so much anxiety when I first noticed it. It started shedding about a month after we moved which I just did not understand why ... I started to research and wanted to try and get to the bottom of it. Shedding can be caused by a number of things... hormones, stress, diet, vitamin deficiencies, hair cycle. I started to really think about and wonder, what it could be with me...  I realized it could be so many different things, I just stopped working out, my body could be going through a change. I may need to add vitamins to my diet. We just moved and I noticed that we had hard water, so I bought a filter for our showers, hoping this would change it. I spoke with my hair dresser who said that your hair goes through different cycles and mine could just be in the shedding phase. You guys, I started to become obsessed with it and started to stress myself out about it which we all know, stress can be the cause of hair loss too. The one constant in all of this, everyone always complimented me on my hair, how good and healthy it looked. That's the thing, it feels smooth, looks shiny and when styled, if I do say so myself, looks pretty good. So I stopped stressing about it because and came to terms with the fact that it's probably just in a cycle of shedding and regrowing.

My hair, is very thin and pretty much life less. It's been this way for my entire life. That is one thing, that has never changed. So Through the years I have noticed what really works well with my hair. If left uncurled, it looks pretty drab so I pretty much always try to add a wave to it . Through out the years, I have been introduced to products that could help bring volume to it. Dry shampoo and volume spray have become my best friends!!! Girls, if you have thin, oily hair, trust me when I say, these two products will give you the voluminous hair you've always dreamed of!  The power of product is crazy! I've recently really been loving Amika hair products , what really turned me on is the smell, I've never smelt a better hair product then theirs. Besides the smell, these products work really well. I religiously use the dry shampoo and texture matte spray to add the volume and take away the oily hair look that my hair tends to ALWAYS have.  In just a few simple steps, I can take my hair from lifeless to voluminous. If you haven't already watch it, I did a step by step hair tutorial on my Instagram which could be found under the Hair tab under highlights.

Here are all the products I use to give my hair volume. If you have any questions, please shoot me an email or leave a comment below and I'll be happy to answer them for you!
