Plaid & Pearl

Today's post is all about a fall favorite, plaid and mixing it with the popular trend, pearl. Click to see more of the this look!

There's no denying that fall is all about plaid! It's the way that it's always been and it's not going anywhere. Fall is all about being outdoors, hiking, taking trips to the farm etc. so it's only fitting that we take farmers shirts and turn it into a fashion trend .. Duh! It's also so cozy to wear in the chilly months and the easiest shirt to style without even putting any thought into an outfit.

This shirt, combines my two favorite trends, plaid and pearl embellishments. If you haven't noticed, pearls are everywhere. I am all about adding an element to the ever so popular plaid. I literally saw this shirt and HAD TO HAVE IT!  It is on the pricier side, currently on sale for under $100. It's worth the splurge, if you want to stand out at the farm! (know what I mean?!)

When styling this look, I wanted to keep with the farmer girl chic vibe I envisioned. I decided to do a fun take on pigtails. I've got to say, I'm really enjoying these extensions and all that I can do with them. I promised a hair tutorial on this style and I swear, it's coming!

As far as the detailing on this top, isn't it just so pretty ? I love how the pearls are randomly spaced and different sizes.

I think this is one of those pieces that would work great styled up or down. This is a perfect top for Thanksgiving if your family doesn't really dress up and you want to keep it casual but still stand out. I can go either way and sometimes I'm just feeling pants and a pretty top and boots. This is definitely a high contender for me and if not for Thanksgiving dinner i'll probably wear this during the day.  Also this top would would be perfect for your family Holiday Pictures!

I will be working on a post for the holidays my favorite finds for Thanksgiving and also styling looks for Holiday Family photos. If there's anything else you'd like to see, send me a message!
